I was reminded today while listening to The Wednesday Audio that it’s okay to unstuck your rut, to change things up. So this post is a slight bit different than usual. It’s image-heavy and word-lean. In 2016 I started to subvert the nipple on Instagram by posting photos of reflections of my breasts. Yet, my love of reflections predates social media. Not reflections from mirrors tho. Mirrors are A+ reflection machines, giving back the accurate when all you want is a fantasy. I prefer the C and D reflection machines, whose flawed surfaces offer the reflection of us in a world we will never see.
Oh wow, thank you - his work is great - sort of French New Wave in static form. Thanks for the new artist. And indeed, the WA lives in the tangible as much as it frolics in the fantastical.
There's obviously a ton of reflections in my environment, living in a city of glass buildings, but one thing I've struggled to get right is how the interior of a building looks reflected on its own window when against the night vista. I've tried several times and for some reason I can't get the reflection to be the same scale and vibrancy in any camera, though I think I have to push beyond 50mm and make it a long shot or something.
Anyway the Bleeding Brakes and Gun Cabinet Breast photos are great!
I am SO excited to see your reflection photos once you are pleased with them! And thank you for your feedback on my photos - since I enjoy and respect your photography, I'm really honored that you like those two photos!
If you like reflections, you’ll love this photographer https://instagram.com/the13thsecond?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
And The Wednesday Audio caused a real-world thought? I must up my game.

I have a friend who takes tons of reflection photos! I love it. Reflections are so fun to play around with.
Oh thanks for the comment! And yea, I love reflections - they tell such a story. Would dig seeing your friend's photos - are they online anywhere?
No, unfortunately. They just exist in her scrapbooks. I kind of love that about her, though.
oh i like that too
