I have never been fat, but the propaganda goes so much deeper than that. My bodily struggles are slightly different than yours, but they exist nonetheless. I could have written this about myself, just like I'm sure every woman could. This essay is beautiful, just like you.

A truly beautiful essay that speaks so much of all of our thoughts - and the gift of a pure love is refreshing - I’m a generation older but my mother feared if I had blemished skin I would not get asked to prom! And I had to be Twiggy thin and as I was older - to be worthy in my parents eyes - I also had to be married - you are finally finding that freedom and I hope we all follow your lead - thank you for sharing
