Trilety, Your descriptions of the eating scenes just soar here. I don’t even feel like I have to watch the movie now! Just stellar.

Fun fact... I recommended Blue is the Warmest Color to my wife when we first met. She was "straight" at the time, but this film helped nudge her curiosities. Not sure if it was the sex scene or the spaghetti scene that helped (probably the slurping), but she pounced on me pretty soon afterward. This film is golden.

Wonderful Barbie photography!

Hhahaah thank you for sharing that! And here's to getting pounced then devouring a plate of spaghetti.

Todd Haynes' first movie, I'm under the impression, was animated with Barbie dolls. There's an interesting underground history of the use of Barbie in photography.

Yes! He's teh one who used Barbie dolls to tell the story of Karen Carpenter. I have always adored that film tho it's been a while since i've seen it. Having been a lifelong fan of Karen Carpenter, I appreciated how he seemed to get to the guts of the tragedy of her life; no one had Karen's best interests in mind.

Mmm, the thought of forks clinking against porcelain teeth gives me goosebumps! also i loved the idea of “intimacy of rigid hands in the attempt of clasp”

Yeah I have misophonia. Your description of that scene is beautiful but I read it thinking maybe I wouldn't be able to watch that scene.
