Insightful life of others observation about wishing to be an insightful life of others person.

I always figured when I grew up I'd have those declarative character assessments: he's the type that..., a woman who..., they're driven by..., phlegmatic, zealot, pariah, wallflower, mousy, willowy, solid, red-faced. Stuff books and conversations about alcoholism taught me to think people thought about other people.

Never figured out how to do it.

Oh wow not only do I appreciate the variety and heft of adjectives here but I'm intrigued about the books about alcoholism. . .like is this a trait of AA - to provide iconic personalities of others?

Sorry, stuff [books taught me to think] and [conversations about alcoholism taught me to think], not stuff [books about alcoholism] and [conversations about alcoholism] taught me to think.

I wouldn't read books about alcoholism, I had enough experience and conversations over it.
